Emily Levine is a historian and Associate Professor of Education at Stanford Graduate School of Education. Her latest book, Allies and Rivals: German-American Exchange and the Rise of the Modern Research University explores the evolution of higher education in the United States and Germany during the nineteenth century through post-World War II. She will be interviewed by Richard Levin, president emeritus of Yale University and Senior Advisor at Coursera, of which he was formerly CEO.
