Education Technology Research & Learning Specialist

Jacob Wolf

Jacob Wolf is the ed tech research and learning specialist in the Office of Digital Education where he seeks to improve digital learning experiences by finding ways to draw the social, community-based components of face-to-face learning into the digital realm. Prior to joining SDE, Jacob worked as an ed tech researcher and developer, creating digital tools to support middle school science education in the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab at Teachers College. Jacob's background is in computer science education, and he has experience designing, developing, and teaching project-based CS courses for K-12 students. Throughout his work, Jacob is interested in how people's experiences with technology in their everyday lives influence the ways they learn and the people they become. Jacob holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford where he wrote an honors thesis in the Graduate School of Education exploring social learning in hybrid online/offline learning environments. In his free time, Jacob enjoys cooking (especially with others), building things, and wandering around cities.
