Khaulat Abdulhakeem
Khaulat holds a bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in education data science at Stanford University. As a member of the Torr Vision Group at the University of Oxford, she studied applied reinforcement learning for autonomous vehicles. She also pioneered the community “AI Saturdays, Abeokuta,” designed to support AI enthusiasts in Abeokuta in their initial forays into the field. In response to the 2020 pandemic-induced school closures lasting over eight months, Khaulat founded DiverseK, a platform aimed at linking tech job seekers with essential resources and job opportunities.
Khaulat is a member of the lab of Chris Piech, assistant professor of computer science, in Stanford's School of Engineering. Her research revolves around the convergence of AI and education, specifically focusing on workforce learners. On YouTube, she hosts "Khaulat’s Abode," an open video diary where she shares her experiences and thoughts with viewers.
On the Stanford Digital Education team, Khaulat brings her deep expertise in media, building communities, and learning design to contribute to a diverse set of projects focused on increasing equity in education.
