Michael Taubman

Mike started as a digital education fellow in August of 2022. He continues to teach full-time at North Star Academy Washington Park High School in Newark, NJ (part of the Uncommon Schools network). Mike has worked at Uncommon Schools for 18 years as a teacher and instructional leader. Currently, he teaches 12th grade English and directs the Senior Year 2.0 program. Mike is a proud product of the Farm; he graduated from Stanford in 2004 with a BA in English and in 2005 with an MA in Teaching from the STEP program. Mike lives in Brooklyn, NY, with his wife and two young daughters. His hobbies include spending time with his family, reading, and reminiscing about the days when his knees still allowed him to play pickup basketball.
